The use of "aa" instead of "å" seem to rather oldfashion. In Norway there are only king Haakon 7th and the current crown prince, Haakon Magnus, who are officially using this certain spelling. All other historical figures use the more normal "Håkon". It's not wrong as such, it just makes the text look like it is written 50 or 100 years ago. --85.165.124.85 9 July 2005 00:19 (UTC)

If we were to change it it should be to Hákon; the modern Norwegian spelling really has no bearing on anything outside of modern Norway. Infact, I'd be in favour of this anyway. BodvarBjarki (talk) 16:18, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Grey-what?

[edit]
Hi,
His predecessor, Harald "Graafell", has his nick translated variously as Greycloak and Greyhide. Should minds be made up?
